The Chant is now available for PC and consoles

Developer Brass Token and publisher Prime Matter are pleased to announce the release of The Chant. Out now on console and PC, the single-player action-adventure horror game will light up your mind (and your screen) with its vibrant psychedelic vibes and otherworldly atmosphere. It’s time for Jess to pack her things, get on the boat and head to a remote island for her spiritual retreat. The Pacific Northwest is gorgeous this time of year. She goes in search of enlightenment, but things take an unexpected and terrifying turn. She must choose: fight or flight?

Can Jess survive the unfolding horror, reverse the chaos and find her inner peace?

The Chant is a cosmic horror action adventure game. With a mix of survival action gameplay, characters, and storytelling, players will have to unravel the dark mysteries of Glory Island’s past. The mind, body and spirit are at the center of The Chant and balancing these stats is the key to surviving and progressing.

A colorful and psychedelic landscape surrounds players who take on the role of Jess. To progress through the unique and otherworldly environment of The Chantplayers will have to carefully choose their battles and fight for survival using spiritual skills and weapons.

A spiritual combat system:

The spirit combat system allows players to collect and craft items found on the island to create weapons such as sage sticks and essential oils. Resource management is key to survival. Should you take your chances in close combat or panic and run? When supplies are low or outnumbered, sometimes it’s best to run.

But don’t let the parasitic creatures on the island take advantage of your negative emotions, or they will grow stronger.

The soundtrack of The Chant has been created by renowned composer Paul Ruskay, adding a 70’s horror and folklore vibe that perfectly conveys the supernatural experience and adds a rich soundscape throughout the game.
