Season 2 of 7 vs. Wild has started! The premiere on Fritz Meinecke’s YouTube channel started with crazy numbers. Was that an audience record?

Panama – For weeks we had to wait for the start of season 2 of 7 vs. Wild. Now the time has finally come and the first episode has been broadcast on Fritz Meinecke’s YouTube channel. The survival format, in which this time Twitch streamer Knossi is taking part, was convincing right from the start and caused heated discussions. Was that the audience record at the premiere?

Episode 1 was so successful: The first episode began with a premiere on Fritz Meinecke’s channel. It started at 6 p.m. German time and right at the start about 400,000 people gathered for the video of episode 1. They were already waiting in front of the starting point and wanted to be the first to see the new episode. A proud number when you consider that the episodes of the first season generally have “only” 5-6 million viewers on average. So it could well be that Season 2 will be even more successful.

Is that a viewership record? On Twitter and in the YouTube chat about the premiere, the question quickly arose as to whether the 400,000 simultaneous viewers set a record in YouTube Germany. The question can be answered quickly: No, but the whole thing was a complete success.

The record still holds the boxing match of Leon Machère and Standart Skill, which gathered over 800,000 fans at the same time on the Universum Boxing YouTube channel. For a YouTube video premiere, 7 vs. Wild could definitely have set the record – but there are no official numbers on this.
