Battlefield 1 registers more players connected on Steam than Battlefield 2042
6 years after its release, Battlefield 1 has re-entered the Steam Top 10 Best Sellers list and features massive concurrent player counts.
as it reported Emopulse, the shooter, which first launched in October 2016, has seen a massive jump in popularity, with the highest number of simultaneous players in its history. It is worth noting that the game was added to Steam in 2020.
The player count, which reached 49,732 in the last 24 hours, is around 44,000 more players than registered in Battlefield 2042 in the same period.
There are probably a few reasons for this. First off, Battlefield 1 is currently heavily discounted at $4.79. However, even before the resurgence of Battlefield 1, Battlefield 2042 was only managing between 8 and 15 thousand concurrent players on Steam in recent months, according to SteamDB.
Battlefield V, the predecessor to Battlefield 2042, also has more players than Battlefield 2042, even though it’s not for sale. Battlefield V has seen a peak of 15,454 players compared to 5,379 in 2042.
