The Crown Raceway is probably the most unusual multiplayer map that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has in its portfolio. Here the players fight each other in the pit lane and the paddock of a fictitious Formula 1 circuit.

The actual race track cannot be seen directly, but the racing cars whizzing by can be heard all the more clearly. But if you thought that these were just sound effects, you were wrong. Because as videos prove, it is possible to actually get onto the Formula 1 track.

Low odds of surviving at Crown Raceway

However, firstly, this has no real added value in terms of play, and secondly, the F1 speedsters – which actually drive around there animatedly – prove to be deadly projectiles that run over their own operator at full speed without batting an eyelid.

Particularly strange: Developer Infinity Ward apparently expected players to find their way onto the track and give the cars their own killcam.
