When is Diablo 4 release? Several sources agree on a launch in April 2023 – official information about this year’s Game Awards will follow.

Developer Blizzard has already confirmed that Diablo 4 will be released in 2023. The first leaks, which, in addition to the release date of Diablo 4, could also very precisely predict the launch of Overwatch 2 and World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, spoke of a reveal of the upcoming action RPG at the Game Awards 2022, which will take place on November 8th. These speculations received via the WindowsCentral portal and the XboxEra podcast.

As both sources unanimously report, during the Game Awards 2022, in addition to the launch trailer for Diablo 4, the pre-order phase will also officially start, in which those who are looking forward to it can pre-order various exclusive digital and collector’s editions in addition to the standard edition. One of these variants is also said to give access to the Diablo 4 open beta, which is scheduled to take place in February 2023.

In addition, the official release of Diablo 4 will also be shown during the event. According to WindowsCentral and XboxEra sources, the gates of hell are set to open in April 2023. After Blizzard’s confirmation that Diablo 4 will be a so-called live service – i.e. constantly changing microtransactions will be added to the game – WindowsCentral has now also confirmed the start of the first season of Diablo 4. This should be a few months after the April Release to start in the third quarter of 2023.

Microsoft’s upcoming acquisition of Activision Blizzard also revisits the potential appearance of Diablo 4 in Game Pass. Due to Microsoft’s publicly announced schedule of closing the deal in the summer of 2023, there is a non-negligible chance that Diablo 4 could be included in the Game Pass right at the start of the first season – if the third quarter of 2023 is correct.
