Geforce RTX 3060 8GB and 3060 Ti with GDDR6X: Asus with dual white graphics cards

In the middle class, Ampere is apparently not yet outdated, as Nvidia recently announced a Geforce RTX 3060 Ti with GDDR6X instead of GDDR6 and a Geforce RTX 3060 with 8 instead of 12 GiByte. Asus is now turning the newcomers into white custom designs. These are the “Asus Dual Geforce RTX 3060 Ti White (OC) Edition 8 GB GDDR6X” and the “Asus Dual Geforce RTX 3060 White (OC) Edition 8GB GDDR6”.

Asus is launching both Ampere graphics cards as a normal and as an OC version. The manufacturer specifies the boost clock of the “Asus Dual Geforce RTX 3060 Ti White Edition 8GB GDDR6” as 1,665 MHz in the default mode and 1,695 MHz in OC mode, with the OC model it is 1,680 and 1,710 MHz. A class below, with the “Asus Dual GeForce RTX 3060 White Edition 8GB GDDR6”, the boost frequencies in Defaut and OC mode are 1,777 and 1,807 MHz. In contrast, Asus calls 1837 and 1867 MHz for the OC model.

Compared to beasts like the Geforce RTX 4090, the graphics cards are rather small, which means that they can also be accommodated in smaller cases. The “Asus Dual Geforce RTX 3060 Ti White (OC) Edition 8 GB GDDR6X” measures 230 x 120 x 42 millimeters and the “Asus Dual Geforce RTX 3060 White (OC) Edition 8GB GDDR6” 200 x 123 x 38 millimeters. The former supplies the power supply with energy via two 8-pin connectors – the latter is sufficient with one of them.

Asus presented all four graphics cards with their own product pages, but we haven’t been able to find the Ampere newcomers in stores yet. Thus, no statement can be made about the street prices.
