Overwatch 2 shows its new tank hero: It is the omnic terrorist Ramattra
Finally Blizzard shows us the new hero of Overwatch 2. As promised, a new tank is coming. His name is Ramattra and he’s an omnic – just like Zenyatta, but somehow very different.
The moral opposite of Zenyatta
While Zenyatta strives for peace, Ramattra is the leader of the terrorist organization Null Sector, which fights by all means to create a better world for the omnics. The tank hero is scheduled to be released along with Season 2 on December 6, 2022.
There is currently no breakdown of Ramattra’s abilities, but there is a trailer for his backstory which you can see here:
Having said that, we already know that Ramattra will shine on the battlefield with two forms – his Omnic form and a Nemesis form. In the latter form, his strength is said to grow greatly.

Overall, he’s good at dealing damage from afar while protecting his team with shields. When he transforms into his Nemesis form, he charges forward at enemies and wrestles them to the ground with powerful punches. Ramattra thus fulfills a similar function as D.Va or Winston, who also jump into the opponent and thus initiate fights.
In order for Ramattra to be able to do all of this, Blizzard gives her more abilities than most other heroes to date. Whether that only makes him stronger or more difficult to play, we will probably only see next month.
The leader of the omnic terrorists is the fourth new hero introduced in Overwatch 2, following Junker Queen, Sojourn, and Kiriko. Overwatch 2 was released on October 4th, 2022 for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
