Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: First major update & what the developers are working on
Over the weekend, Infinity Ward released the first major update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. in one current blog entry the makers hand in the patch notes – and with it Details about the changes and innovations. “We spent the days after launch working on a variety of improvements and bug fixes,” the developers write in the changelog. With the current patch, for example, they play bug fixes for individual Crash causes on all platforms on. Previously, crashes could occur if players were in a party and then started the matchmaking system.
First major update – what’s in it?
There are also individual game improvements, including for Camos not unlocked. The patch notes for the current Modern Warfare 2 update also show that the developers have addressed the problem of fps drops. Infinity Ward has also installed other performance optimizations that are not described in detail. Specifically, PC gamers with Nvidia graphics cards should ensure they are playing Modern Warfare 2 with driver version 526.61. A recently released one Nvidia hotfix is said to have fixed “some critical bugs”.
Infinity Ward collects further game data and feedback on the individual weapons in the first-person shooter. Together with the launch of Season 1 on November 16th, they want to announce which balancing screws the developers are turning specifically. The update is rounded off by various map exploits in multiplayer mode. The Breenbergh Hotel map has also been added to the third-person mosh pit.
Update process on Trello
The developers are already working on further updates for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. In Trello board they keep you up to date with current update processes – and name known issues that are being addressed. Among other things, there is currently a bug with the helicopter, which may make it possible to leave the map.
