We are just two days away from one of the most anticipated game releases of 2022: God of War Ragnarök. It’s usually rather serious there, with all the sniping it might be a bit inappropriate if grumpy Kratos cracked bad jokes all the time. Apparently that doesn’t apply to his spokesman Christopher Judge.

Dad jokes as a countdown

Before the Fimbulwinter finally reaches us, the voice actor of Kratos, whose most famous word is probably “Boy”, has now duly heralded the release. And with really bad dad jokes that would probably cause a lot of eye rolls from said Boy Atreus:

What is the best thing about Switzerland? I dunno, but the flag is a big plus.

This classic and many more thigh knockers has Christopher Judge on his Twitter account posted, counting down the days until Ragnarök finally appears. He already started the day before yesterday, so there are already 3 whole videos full of silly puns and bad punch lines ready for us.

For more humor before the battle

The whole marketing campaign for the latest God of War part has recently had some humor, for example with the fathers self-help group around Ben Stiller, which you can enjoy again here:

And also the Japanese trailer makes us laugh, but probably for other reasons, because probably none of Kratos’ adventures, god of war, has been announced in such a bizarre way. Whether there are so many gags in it remains a bit of a mystery even with automatically translated subtitles, but at least we now know what a bow and arrow is called in Japanese.

That reminds us, we actually wanted to do an origami course, but well, you can bend. At least we can do bad jokes.

Do you also have a few such firecrackers in stock? Then feel free to hit us in the comments.
