PlanetSide 2: breaks its own world record twice

The developers and players of Planetside 2 made history again over the weekend. Daybreak gathered all sorts of fans to break their own world record again.

Together they tried to break the existing Guinness World Record for most online players in an FPS battle. With the help of Planetside 2’s enthusiastic community, it was finally possible to crack the number not just once, but twice in a row.

Planetside 2: Over 1,200 players break the world record

Planetside 2 set the record for itself for the first time in 2015: 1,158 players met each other. Last weekend, 1,228 players were initially counted on the Emerald server, followed closely by a second attempt, in which around 20 minutes later 1,241 players were counted on the Connery server.

Meanwhile, one is still waiting for the official verification by Guinness World Records, which should only be a matter of form.
