WoW: Player creates raid boss Rygelon single-handedly – in 5+ hours!
Mastering raids in WoW alone: Do you use exploits for this? Do you just wait until you have a much higher level thanks to expansions? Not that Windwalker Monk! He single-handedly dispatched Rygelon of the Sanctum of Dominion… and it took ages to do it.
The Sanctum of Domination in WoW is the final raid of the Shadowlands expansion – the most recent raid in WoW, which illustrates the challenge if you want to beat yourself through here alone. But the Windwalker Monk player Venn has faced the penultimate boss, the constellar Rygelon. And was victorious…after a 5+ hour attempt preceded by a number of failures.
WoW: Solo Rygelon in 5+ hours
But as much as it can be described, it is of course even more impressive when the responsible top player shows and explains it himself: the Rygelon 5-hour boss kill single-handed video!
How did Venn do that? It took about 90 attempts in total until Rygelon finally lay in the digital dust. Some even lasted 1-2 hours! The bullets of Heavenly Collapse held Venn using Ring of Peace away from the boss. And instead of having to switch tanks, Venn “just” absorbed all the damage from the attack on his own. This is possible through Heavenly Brew and Shards of Annhylde’s Aegis. Attempts at the solo kill began well before pre-patch, but the new talents helped immensely, according to Venn. The long duration goes to the mechanics of Big bang back, after which Rygelon can only be hit by simple melee attacks.
Previously only possible as an exploit
In fact, there have been occasions before where a player could flatten Rygelon alone, but that win doesn’t really count: the infamous exploit hunter Rextroy found a way for a mage to deliver a one-shot kill in a fight against Rygelon – which of course is not intended in any way by Blizzard. Accordingly, the video above is the Real Deal, the real World First solo kill of the penultimate boss in the Sanctum of Domination. What is your greatest achievement in WoW (buy now )?
