IEM Rio Major 2022: schedule and results

The IEM Rio Major 2022 is scheduled to take place from October 31 to November 13, 2022. It will be divided into three different stages: Challengers, Legends and Champions. This is similar to the formats used in previous Majors.

Challengers and Legends work in a five-game Swiss format, where teams must win three matches to qualify for the next stage. Lose three games and you’re eliminated.

However, the Champions Stage is do or die, as the top eight teams battle it out in a single-elimination bracket to cement their place in Counter-Strike history. With $1.25 million on the line, the winner will walk away with a nice chunk of change and a spot at IEM Katowice 2023.
