Pokémon Crimson and Crimson: Day-One Patch Confirmed, Enables Online Features

With the release of Pokémon Crimson and Pokémon Crimson, you will still need to download a day-one patch.

According to Game Freak and The Pokémon Company, this is version 1.0.1.

What does the day-one patch bring?

The day-one patch should be available in time for the release on November 18th.

All patch notes are not yet available, but you can assume that they will fix a few more bugs.

Apart from that, version 1.0.1 is mandatory for the online functions of the games, since they are only activated with the update. So you should download it if you want to use them from the start.

Said day-one patch will be around 1GB, so make sure you have enough space on your Nintendo Switch.

Pokémon Crimson and Crimson’s online features include Tera Raids, co-exploring the game world with other players, Trainer Battles, and the Mystery Gift feature.
