Battlefield 2042 is coming to Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play

DICE has confirmed that Battlefield 2042 will join the Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play libraries in the not too distant future.

Battlefield 2042 will be available to Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play subscribers “with the launch of Season 3”, the studio said in a development update video posted Thursday, which can be viewed below.

While the release date for Season 3 has yet to be confirmed, Season 2 started in late August and is coming to an end.

Free access periods for Battlefield 2042 on all platforms are also planned for December.

Xbox players will be able to try the title for free from December 1 to 4, Steam players from December 1 to 5, and PlayStation players from December 16 to 23.

While publisher EA had previously committed to releasing four seasons of live service content for Battlefield 2042 over the course of a year, DICE said today that more content is on the way as well.

“We are already in pre-production on new content coming after Season 4 next year,” revealed the study.
