Geforce RTX 4080: More custom designs with some thick coolers
The next custom models of the Geforce RTX 4080 come from Colorful Technologies. On the one hand, the company is introducing the Advanced OC variant with the new “Gravity Rim” fan, a new version of the iGame Energy Core. On the other hand, the Ultra-White-RTX-4080 has a large cooler in the white housing.
Nvidia’s next Ada Lovelace-based graphics card, the Geforce RTX 4080, will be released next week. Meanwhile, the board partners are presenting their custom models of the RTX 4080. Previously there was information about graphics cards from MSI, Gigabyte and Colorful. The latter manufacturer has already presented the Neptune model from the iGame series. Now the Chinese company is following suit and presenting the iGame Geforce RTX 4080 Advanced OC and Ultra White OC.
Geforce RTX 4080 Advanced OC – Gravity Rim as an update to the Energy Core
The darker of Colorful’s two new iGame cards with triple-fan design introduces a new version of the Energy Core from previous generations with the Gravity-Rim central fan, while the two additional fans of the GPU use the new Hurricane Scythe Blade Use design known from the RTX 4090 Vulcan OC-V. Other features of the iGame Geforce RTX 4080 Advanced OC, available for $1,289:
- Gravity Rim: A redesigned version of the iGame Energy Core designed to create a black hole effect.
- Meteorite backplate: A metal backplate with iGame grid design that reduces PCB flexing.
- Hurricane Scythe Blades: New fan blade design that delivers better airflow compared to the previous generation Storm Chaser fan design. The Advanced OC comes with two 100mm fans and a 96mm center fan.
- One key overclock: Button on the rear I/O that activates the overclocking function for a quick and easy performance boost that doesn’t require launching the software.
- Hollow back panel: This design allows for unhindered airflow through the heatsink and greatly improves heat dissipation compared to traditional GPU air cooling designs.
- Customizable RGB lighting: The graphics card features RGB lighting that is fully customizable with the iGame Center software.
Geforce RTX 4080 Ultra White OC – With improved cooling system
Colorful’s Ultra White graphics card comes with a new look within the iGame series and is said to have a more powerful cooling system. There are also three fans and the 12VHPWR connection. Other features of the iGame Geforce RTX 4080 Ultra White OC, available for $1,249:
- Ultra Retro RGB: Striking and visualizing RGB light effect in retro design.
- Ultra cooling: The Ultra series is designed for high-performance cooling – with a large heatsink with five Ø5mm + two Ø8mm copper heat pipes equipped with three 100mm fans.
- One key overclock: Button on the rear I/O that activates the overclocking function for a quick and easy performance boost that doesn’t require launching the software.
