Pokémon GO: Guide to Community Day with Teddiursa – How to use the event on Saturday

In Pokémon GO, November 12th is Community Day with Teddiursa and numerous bonuses. We at MeinMMO show you what event content you can expect on this day and how you can use it.

What is this event? In Pokémon GO, a so-called Community Day is held every month, which focuses on a specific Pokémon. It will then spawn everywhere in the wilderness during the event period and the chances of a shiny are increased.

After the C-Day Classic with Dratini took place last weekend, you can now look forward to the Community Day in November with Teddiursa on Saturday. We have summarized all the content that awaits you about little teddy and how you can use the day to your advantage below.

– 50% less Stardust cost when trading

As you are used to from the Community Days, the C-Day with Teddiursa will again run for 3 hours. However, you can use the exclusive attack and the exchange bonuses again up to 5 hours after the event, i.e. until 10 p.m. local time.

Special Raid Battles: Following the actual Community Day, there will be special level 4 raids again this time. As you probably know from the past, these only take place on site, which is why you cannot participate via long-distance raids.

In the raid you will encounter Teddiursa’s first evolution, Ursaring. If you have successfully completed the fight, then Teddiursa will spawn again within a radius of 300 meters around the arena for 30 minutes. The shiny chance will be just as high as on C-Day.

Which monster is new? For the Commuity Day with Teddiursa you can meet his latest advancement for the first time: Ursaluna. The Monster of Generation 8 of the Ground and Normal types can evolve with the help of 100 Candies.

During the event and up to 5 hours after, it gains the Event Charged Attack Horsepower, which can do 100 damage in Trainer Battles and even 110 damage in Raids and Arena Battles.

What to consider when developing: Those wishing to secure the new development should do so no later than Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 06:00 local time. Ursaluna can only evolve during a full moon. If you miss this opportunity, you will have to wait until the next full moon.

This is how you can properly use the Community Day with Teddiursa

How to prepare: As with any major event in Pokémon GO, you should also make room in your Pokémon storage with Teddiursa for Community Day. So if you still have heaps of Dratini in your bag from last weekend or just generally have to clean out Pokémon again, you should do this before the event starts.

The easiest way to do this is with the filter function in Pokémon GO. For example, entering “0*,1*,2*” will only show you monsters that have 2 stars or less. Entering “age0” is also good for sorting during the event because it will only eject you Pokemon that are less than 24 hours old.

Of course, the space in the Pokémon storage alone is not enough to make the most of the event for you. You also need a lot of items that also need space. So sort your item bag and make room for the most important items. We have summarized what you need below.

These items are required for C-Day with Teddiursa

Balls: The most important item for Community Day with Teddiursa are balls, of course, because you can’t catch without them. So it’s best to stock up on around 200 balls so that you don’t have to get supplies again during the event. Hyper Balls are best because they hold stubborn monsters in better.

Alternatively, you can currently keep an eye out for golden PokéStops. These bring you more items when turning, including lots of balls.

Smoke & Lure Modules: For Community Day there will also be an extended effectiveness of smoke and bait modules. For this reason, it makes sense to have one item from each in the bag. If you activate it during the event, you will attract even more monsters for 3 hours.

If you want to provide more than one PokéStop with Lure Modules, then of course you will need more.

pineapple berries: In order to secure as many Teddiursa candies as possible, you should use Pineapple Berries when catching them. These double the candies. Since you already get a candy bonus from the event anyway, you will receive 12 candies for every Teddiursa caught with Pineapple Berries.

On the one hand, these are important so that you can develop it further into Ursaluna and, on the other hand, to level up your Pokémon.

Star Pieces: In addition to the candy bonus, you can also look forward to triple Stardust when catching during the event. If you want to increase your stash even more, you can also use Star Pieces, which increase Stardust by another 50% over a period of 30 minutes.

Other important items: After the Community Day, special level 4 raids will take place again, but you can only take part in them on site. If you would like to do this, you should have your raid pass or premium battle passes ready.

In order for the best attackers in Pokémon GO to be ready to fight again quickly after the raid, you also need a few revives and potions.

You have to note that: When sorting your item bag, however, remember that you can unlearn frustration again for the “Rocket Takeover” event starting Monday. You will need your loading TMs for this. If you want to take the chance, it is best not to sort out this item.

Use the correct Mega Evolution

Why do you need Mega Evolution? If you want to get even more out of the Community Day with Teddiursa, you should activate a corresponding mega development. If the type of the caught Pokémon matches the type of your Mega Evolution, then you will get additional candies.

What development do you need in Teddiursa? Since Teddiursa is a Normal type, you also need to Mega Evolve with that type. For this reason, the following Mega Pokémon are available:

• Mega pigeon boss
• mega kangaroo
• mega slacker

Why is mega slack particularly worthwhile? If you also want to do the raids against Ursaring after the C-Day, it is best to develop a mega-lollipop. This monster belongs to the Normal and Fighting types.

On the one hand, you can farm additional candies if you catch Teddiursa and his developments, and on the other hand, you can use this as an optimal counter in the fight against Ursaring. Ursaring is particularly weak against combat attacks.

Since Mega Sloppy is a fighting Pokémon, you can also use it in raids and it will boost all other fighting attacks there at the same time. So you can defeat Ursaring faster.

Is Community Day with Teddiursa worth it?

Is there Shiny Teddiursa? Yes. Teddiursa has been in his dazzling form in Pokémon GO for a while. Since Shiny rates tend to be slightly higher during Community Day, your chances of encountering one are good. You can recognize it by its green body.

How strong is Teddiursa? The normal Pokémon from the second generation of games is not particularly convincing with its values. This is already different with its first further development, Ursaring, which has high attack and endurance values.

However, Ursaring cannot assert itself against the best attackers in Pokémon GO and therefore plays a subordinate role in raids. And also in the GO battle league it is according to PvPoke less interesting.

With the Community Day you will also have the opportunity for the first time to further develop Ursaring into Ursaluna. The Ground and Normal-type monster has tremendous Attack, Stamina, and Defense stats, which would actually make it an optimal candidate in Raids as well as the GO Battle League. However, Ursaluna fails here due to a bad moveset.

Should Ursaluna get better attacks in the future, it could possibly rank among the best ground attackers. For the moment, however, that remains to be seen.

Who should use the C-Day? The Community Day with Teddiursa is primarily worthwhile because of the new Pokémon Ursaluna, which you can only develop until September 13, 2022 at 6:00 a.m. local time and should therefore definitely be secured for the Pokédex.

Ursaluna also has a lot of potential for use in Raids and GO Battle League due to its high stats, but still has to wait for a better moveset. Anyone who speculates on it should secure a strong copy. Shiny hunters also get their money’s worth on this day.

The stardust bonus is also worthwhile for all trainers who want to increase their supply. This can be important if you want to trade Pokemon or for their PowerUps at level 50.
