CoD Warzone 2: Everything about the release – download, preload and from what time you can play

On November 16, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 will be released together with Season 1 of Modern Warfare 2. So that you are optimally prepared for the release, you will find all the important information about the download, preload, times and links to further information here.

When is Warzone 2 coming out? The release is on November 16th.

What time does Warzone 2 start? That’s not entirely clear yet. Due to a leak in Diablo 4, we expect it to start at 7 p.m. German time.

Will Warzone 2 be free? Like its predecessor, the new Battle Royale is Free2Play. However, it is currently not entirely clear whether you need PS Plus or Xbox Live to gamble. If you don’t need PS Plus, for example, 25 cents could be incurred in the PlayStation Store as with the first Warzone.

When can you download Warzone 2? The preload starts on November 14 at 7 p.m.

Who can start the preload? So far it is unclear whether the preload is only available for Modern Warfare 2 buyers. We asked the developers, but didn’t get any information about it.

How big will Warzone 2 download be? A dataminer has found the alleged files from Warzone 2 in the Xbox update system. Therefore, one currently expects a size of around 115 GB (via twitter.com).

If you already have Modern Warfare 2 on the disk, the download could be significantly smaller.

Will Warzone 2 have its own game? Yes and no. Warzone 2 is a free Battle Royale, but runs on the Modern Warfare 2 launcher. For Warzone 2.0 you don’t need to buy CoD MW2, but you need to have parts of it on your disk.
