Jensen Huang: Surprises karaoke singers at an esports event

Nvidia boss Jensen Huang not only has a cool leather jacket look and humor when it comes to his kitchen. He also seems to appreciate a good party. The CEO recently surprised a few karaoke streamers at a Taiwanese e-sports event and joined in with a song by Lady Gaga.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang not only seems to have a casual leather jacket look, but he’s also a pretty laid-back guy in general. At least that’s what the visitors of WirForce 2022, a Taiwanese “e-sports carnival”, were able to observe. During the opening night, Huang attended the event, chatted with the crowd, played a few games and surprised two karaoke streamers with whom he unceremoniously sang a Lady Gaga Sony.

According to one report, the CEO was at the event for around an hour interacting with the visitors. While some reports claim that many in attendance, including the karaoke singers, were unaware of who they were dealing with, the Commercial Times writes that the graphics guru was recognized and asked for photos and autographs. Some esports players brought him the boxes of their Nvidia products for Huang to sign.

The CEO is said to have been very friendly to all visitors, snapping photos and trying a lightgun game. He later reportedly went to the main stage and loudly “Geforce!” shouted into one of the microphones. Much to the dismay of those in attendance, some of whom complained that Huang shouted a little too enthusiastically and too close into the mic.

Later, Jensen Huang stumbled upon two karaoke streamers whom he wished would play the song “Hold my Hand” from the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack. Huang became part of the performance, singing along quietly in the background. At the end of the song, he joked that he was so lucky to have helped with the song. The karaoke video became a viral hit, but not the first for CEO Huang: the leather jacket fan had already wowed the internet with his kitchen a few years ago. Nvidia then provided an image of the kitchen as a background for Zoom.
