When will Baldur’s Gate 3 be released? A question that many fans are asking, after all, the role-playing game has been in Early Access for over two years. Now there is finally an official answer.

As part of a blog entry on Steam, which announces a new Panel From Hell, Larian Studios also gives a small update on the release date. Nothing will happen this year, but the development for 2023 is on the right track.

Baldur’s Gate 3: Release date could be revealed soon

Currently, the developers continue, act 2 and act 3 of Baldur’s Gate 3 have arrived in the internal playtesting phase. Here the story is already put through its paces so that everything is at a uniformly high level in the end.

Based on this, it is said that a release of the full version of Baldur’s Gate 3 is quite realistic. There will be a detailed update on the release date in December, once the next panel From Hell has aired. There may even be a fixed date.

Surprises planned for Act 1

Anyone who has already put many hours into the Early Access version of Baldur’s Gate 3 and can hardly see Act 1 anymore should also be surprised at the release. The developers don’t go into detail, but the full version should also give new experiences in the first part of the story.

For the rest of 2022, however, the focus will initially be on Patch 9. There will also be a detailed presentation of the content in December, when the latest edition of the Panel From Hell live stream format takes place. An exact date for the panel will be announced soon.
