The developers of Battlefield 2042 recently revealed some information about the upcoming third season of the shooter. Among other things, the class system is celebrating a return and free game phases are intended to attract potential new users. Apparently, there were more details due to a small mishap: for a short time, the Chinese version of the developer diary did not contain a description of the video, but rather some detailed information about the upcoming content.
Developers leak new specialists, weapons and tanks
According to the information from the description of the video, Season 3 will bring a new specialist, a new tank and three new weapons to Battlefield 2042 come. The details have since been removed. Previously, however, some users were able to take screenshots, which are now being shared on social media.
The new specialist is said to be Rashid Zain, who wields the XM370A semi-automatic air rifle. His weapon should be able to shoot through cover, behind which the opponents get to safety. His special ability is said to allow him to regenerate his health twice as fast after killing an enemy.
In addition to the new specialist, the developers are also said to be planning the introduction of a new tank, the EMKV90-TOR. There are also two other weapons, the Roche Mk-4 Railgun and the NVK-S22 Smart Shotgun. Also mentioned was a new map said to be based in the wilderness of northern Sweden. According to dataminer temporyal, the map will be called Spearhead and could have a storm weather effect.
