Season 3 will start soon in Battlefield 2042 – everything about the new map, weapons and release

In Battlefield 2042 Season 3 will start soon under the name “Escalation”. We at MeinMMO show you all the innovations of the season, as well as new weapons and adjustments to large maps.

When does Season 3 start? The developers behind Battlefield 2042 have been very sparse with information about Season 3. Neither a release date nor information regarding content has been revealed until now. The official start time of Season 3 is now November 22nd. However, a more precise date is not yet known.

In addition, DICE has now also introduced upcoming content, changes to existing maps and weapons that you will experience in Escalation. So we show you what to expect.

Battlefield 2042 Season 3 – All New Escalation Content

What new content is coming? Since Season 3 already has a start time, the new content should not be missing either. Content includes:

• New Weapons
  • Rorsch MK-4
  • NVK-S22
  • NVK-P125
• New vault weapons
• New gadget
• New specialist
• New map
• New vehicle
• Revised maps

We will now go into more detail about the upcoming innovations and show you the most important content.

This is what the new map looks like in Season 3: The new map is located in Sweden and is called “Spearhead”. In this you are surrounded by green terrain, where large factories of a futuristic company are located.

You can walk through the big factories there and discover the yellow manufacturing robots and even use them as cover.

The new map is the same size as the well-known map “Stranded”. However, if you are more interested in the scenery, you can use the rock formations and hills to your advantage in combat.

What can the new weapons do? There are a total of three new weapons that you can get hold of for the release of Season 3. These are very different from the familiar weapons as they are more futuristic and even use electromagnetic projectiles. That means you:

• Rorsch MK-4 – Is a rifle with different fire modes and electromagnetic projectiles that have a high destructive power
• NVK-S22 – Is a double-barreled semi-automatic shotgun with many customization options
• NVK-P125 – Is a semi-automatic pistol with a long barrel that allows you to cover long distances

Adjustments from old maps: The development team has listened to the community feedback and set to work polishing the major maps Manifest and Breakaway.

These not only received graphical innovations, but also complete adjustments to the maps themselves. Obstacles or buildings were completely removed, reassembled or moved.

More covers have been added and some areas have been made more open so that you can get a better overview of the battlefields in the high ground.

Specialists are revised: The specialists will also get a revision later in Season 3. DICE decided to bring back the class system and embed the specialists in it.

• Each class will have class items and gadgets that you can customize.
• Each class gets advantages for certain weapons
  • Scouts can hold their breath longer with Snipers

Battlefield 2042 is free for a limited time: At the beginning of December, the development team will let you test the shooter free of charge for Season 3.

The test phases last about a weekend and let you get a taste of the world of the well-known shooter. You should keep an eye on the following data:

• Xbox: 1 – 4 December 2022
• Steam: December 1 – 5, 2022
• PlayStation: 16 – 23 December 2022
