Warzone 2: level up weapons fast – tips for a lot of XP in Call of Duty

DMZ explains: Since Season 1 in MW2 and finally Warzone 2, there has been a lot of new content in Call of Duty. Including the brand new DMZ mode. CoD players are very confused so shortly after the release and wonder what should you do in DMZ at all? DMZ is like a big playground, you can unlock new and unique weapons here in DMZ, you can quickly level up the battle pass of MW2 & WZ2, but there are also missions and objectives.

You can choose and support three factions in DMZ: Legion, White Lotus and Black Mous. This is via faction missions. In order to unlock all factions, you must first complete the “Storm the Fortress” mission. It’s not that easy, as the game doesn’t quite tell you how to get a Stronghold Keycard. Don’t forget to equip the mission in the menu before starting DMZ.

Warzone 2 DMZ: Fortress Key Map find and use

These are strongholds in DMZ: Strongholds are heavily guarded zones in Al Mazrah. You can find them marked with a white tower on your map. In the fortresses you get the best loot, i.e. the strongest weapons, lots of support items and money. In addition, for the faction mission “Storm the Fortress” you have to conquer one of these garrisons in DMZ. Of course, that also gives you a lot of XP for leveling up weapons.

Finding Stronghold Key Cards: Each fortress in DMZ is locked at the beginning, you need a key: the fortress key card. You can already see on your map that the white tower symbol of the fortress has a lock in front of it. Luckily there are three options to find a matching key:

  • AQ Soldiers drop Stronghold Key Cards. Searches defeated enemies near strongholds, often they have the appropriate key in their inventory. Q-Soldiers are PC-controlled AI opponents in DMZ and Warzone, not real people.
  • Buy Stronghold Key Card: Supply stations (shops) can be found everywhere on the “Al Mazrah” map of DMZ (and Warzone 2) – the shopping cart symbol. Many of the shops sell keep key cards for $5,000. Our tests have shown that some shops also have keys for other doors.
  • Steal a Stronghold Keycard from other players: Other human players who want to storm a fortress and have the right key can also lose it again (if they die). With a bit of luck, you simply loot a fortress key card.

Tip for Strongholds in DMZ: Note, however, that you should not just storm a fortress in Warzone 2: DMZ. The enemies there are heavily armored and numerous. So get ready, pack good gear and the best weapons in Warzone 2. Ideally, you attack with a team of friends.

Warzone 2 DMZ: Find keys and open locked doors & containers

Using keys in Warzone 2 DMZ: there are not only key cards in DMZ, but also “normal” keys. You can use it to open locked doors and containers. The problem, the keys found do not reveal exactly which lock they belong to.

So look at the description of the key, there you will find a hint and the approximate coordinates in DMZ or Warzone 2. The letters and numbers correspond to a quadrant of your map. You can use keys up to three times. You can also leave DMZ with a key in your luggage and pack it again in a later round.
