Assassin's Creed Valhalla does not get a New Game Plus - fan wishes remain unfulfilled

Unfortunately, if you were hoping for a New Game Plus mode for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, you will now be disappointed.

Ubisoft, while acknowledging that it’s a “highly requested feature,” dismisses it at the same time.

Not possible due to the structure

“We understand that this news will be a disappointment,” says the publisher. Due to the structure of Valhalla, however, this is not possible.

“Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was conceived as a unique Assassin’s Creed experience, structurally very different from its predecessors and offering new ways to engage with the world and its characters,” it says.

More news about Assassin’s Creed Valhalla:

“As we reviewed the implementation of New Game+, we found that the depth of the game gave us limited opportunities to make replayability unique and rewarding.”

“We understand that this news is a disappointment, but we hope that the new content that has been released over the last few months, including unprecedented experiences like Forgotten Saga, has provided an exciting and challenging experience for those craving more looking for repeatable content.”

At the same time, Ubisoft confirms that Eivor’s final chapter will be released on December 6th with update 1.6.2. After that, there will be no more seasonal celebrations in the game.
