Fortnite: First Screenshot of Chapter 4 Map – This can be seen on it
What does the leak show? The leak for the new Fortnite Map is currently making the rounds in several places on the Internet. The screenshot already shows what appears to be a section of the new map, but is largely blurred. So you can at best guess what kind of place is shown in the picture. Currently, however, some voices assume that the picture shows Risky Reels, an older point of interest. Risky Reels may come back to Fortnite after a rework. Below you can see a video of the leak, which also shows the image in more detail.
YouTuber Happy Power also explains in the video that some new gameplay mechanics will also come to Fortnite in Chapter 4. In Chapter 3, Epic Games recently introduced sprints, slides and climbing mechanics, so the new chapter should also have new elements.
What’s new? According to the latest status, several new features for the gameplay at Epic Games are said to have been in development. The video talks about diving as well as underwater looting and shooting, and advanced climbing mechanics, which should also allow you to climb steeper cliffs. This time, however, there was no mention of the often assumed ego perspective for Fortnite.
Fortnite: New Map in Chapter 4 – More Mountains, More Rivers?
What does that reveal about the map? When Epic Games expands the mechanics of Fortnite, it usually means a few corresponding changes to the map. If you can believe the information in the leak, then the developer studio should try a little more verticality in the game. It seems like Epic Games is going to push the game higher while making the lakes and rivers busier. Maybe water could play a bigger role in Chapter 4 of Fortnite.
How trustworthy is the information? For the moment, however, it is largely speculation. Understandably, Happy Power did not name its sources in the video because otherwise they would have to fear consequences from Epic Games. For now, however, there’s no confirmation that the leaked information is real, so take it with a grain of salt. After all, there are a few key dates for the live event Fracture at the end of Chapter 3 in Fortnite that we know for sure. You can read all about that in another article.
