WoW: Archeology is not forgotten, cooking & fishing specializations
In an interview with Principal Designer Eric Holmberg-Weidler, WoW fan SoulsoBreezy found out a few interesting details about the craft of WoW: Dragonflight. So during Dragonflight there will probably also be an update for archeology, which has been neglected so far, fishing and cooking could get specializations and crafting orders should also be made possible for non-Dragonflight recipes.
For the upcoming release of WoW: Dragonflight on November 29th, 2022 (next week!), the developers are handing the influencers and the press the handle. So we got along with Game Director Ion Hazzikostas on Borrowed Power and Talent Trees converse. In the Rufer interview with the WoWHead Rufer author, as expected, in every way around the caller. and Morgan Day has about Season 1 of WoW: Dragonflight chatted.
The interview between Eric Holmberg-Weidler, Principal Designer in the WoW team, and the influencer SoulsoBreezy was primarily about the crafting adjustments to the new expansion and also about a part of the craft that has been criminally neglected in recent years: archaeology. You can see the summary of the interview, including about endgame crafting, at Manacrewwe highlight a few interesting details here.
Archeology is not forgotten!
WoW professions are getting a major overhaul… but not all! Because all crafts even get new icons, while archeology remains idle, as it has been for several expansions. In the conversation, Holmberg-Weidler indicated that there are some Dragonflight plans for the side job, but when the expansion was released, they wanted to concentrate on the main jobs first. That doesn’t mean archeology is forgotten, though! As part of the Dragonflight era, you can certainly expect an update for archeology.
Cooking and Fishing specializations!
The art of cooking and the art of fishing are also secondary professions, but they will receive their update on November 29, 2022. But that doesn’t mean that the topic is over then, no. Instead, the WoW developers are playing with the idea of giving both cooking and fishing a specialization revision, in other words: you can specialize like with the main professions. How that will work is still written in the stars.
Crafting orders not only for Dragonflight recipes!
The concept of crafting orders, which allow you to craft items for guild members or stranger heroes, is limited to the new expansion for the time being, and some players were already angry about that. However, this restriction should not remain. There is no schedule yet for crafting orders for pre-Dragonflight crafting items, but they are planned to come. And that will certainly bring some gold into the coffers of some diligent craftsmen, especially for crafting mounts and pets. As already mentioned: You can find the summary of the interview at Manacrew.
