Nintendo Switch Sports: From the end of November there will finally be golf

Nintendo Switch Sports (Sport) von Nintendo

While the Nintendo Switch Sports servers took a forced break a good month ago, they are now fit as a fiddle and invite you to a digital sweating party.

The comeback should lure sporty players back in front of the screen in two respects: From November 29, golf will finally be a new sport, adding another option to the hitherto manageable selection of tennis, bowling, chanbara, football, volleyball and badminton to work out.

Nintendo Switch Sports: Old lanes and a new mode

Wii Sports experts can look forward to 21 holes from the spiritual predecessor and hopefully don’t know all of them by heart in order to experience at least a little breath of fresh air on the golf course.

If classic golf isn’t dramatic enough, you might enjoy the new knockout golf mode, where you can join up to eight players in the spectacle. Only the best golfer can stay on the green in this sweaty competition, the rest are out!

It was announced at the launch at the end of April that Nintendo Switch Sports players can look forward to the new sport of golf. Originally, the discipline was supposed to come in autumn, but was then postponed to winter and will finally be released on November 29th.

Was golf the last new sport for Nintendo Switch Sports?

With golf within reach, the future of Nintendo Switch Sports doesn’t necessarily look bleak, but it’s still murky. So far, Nintendo has not announced any other sports, although of course this could change in the future.

A dataminer reported back in March that it had found the terms “basketball” and “dodgeball” in the code, but only in text with no associated data. So players shouldn’t get their hopes up too high that either sport will make it into the game. In our test of the game, there was a clear point deduction for the small selection of disciplines.
