Update from 11/24/2022, 9:43 a.m.: Shortly before Black Friday, MediaMarkt and Saturn are getting even hotter for the PS5. Thursday is traditionally the replenishment day for Saturn. Many customers are also hoping for the “God of War” bundle with the Sony console. So far we rate the chances as medium-high.

Update from 11/23/2022, 9:31 am: Today you could still be lucky in some branches of MediaMarkt and Saturn. Yesterday there were also isolated reports that in some local MMS branches consoles were either still pre-ordered or even available to take away – for example at MediaMarkt Dietzenbach. The PS5 (disc) with a second DualSense controller in Starlight Blue and an additional guarantee for €696.96 was available there yesterday. It remains to be seen whether something will happen online this week, but it would be quite conceivable.
Update from 11/22/2022, 1:35 p.m.: If you still want to grab a copy of the coveted PS5, you can be lucky in some local branches of MediaMarkt and Saturn. Although this local pre-order promotion started more than a week ago, reports say that there are still free pre-order quotas available in some places, especially if the market is located in a smaller town or in a more rural area. It’s best to just ask on the spot.

Update from 11/16/2022, 10:45 a.m.: Good morning PS5 hunters. Currently you still have a good chance of tapping the PlayStation 5 locally. At MediaMarkt and Saturn, a large pre-order campaign is still running in many (but not all) branches of the two chains.
In big cities, it may well be that the pre-order contingent is already exhausted. But you can still get lucky in more rural areas and smaller towns today. So if you have a MediaMarkt or Saturn branch near you, you can still try your luck today and ask them if they are participating in the campaign and if consoles are still available for pre-order.
Original message from November 13, 2022: Hamburg – When it comes to PS5 from Sony, MediaMarkt and Saturn (MMS) are among the largest and most important retailers here in Germany. No other provider in this country lets more PlayStation 5 consoles jump over the virtual counter than the two sister companies. This became clear again in November when MMS was one of the first to sell the new “God of War” bundle in a large drop. And the chances of replenishment are currently still good here – thanks to a new campaign.

Buy PS5: MediaMarkt and Saturn are launching a new major pre-order campaign – locally in the branches
When was the last time you could buy the PS5 at MediaMarkt and Saturn? The last drop was just over a week ago, on November 4th. The new, official bundle for “God of War Ragnarök” was initially available there at both MediaMarkt and Saturn. After that, more bundles were added. The bottom line was that it was finally a really big, productive drop.
What is the current status of fresh PS5 supplies? It’s hard to tell in terms of online drops right now, but things are looking pretty good for local sales right now!
In short: Anyone who still wants to grab a PS5 should focus more on local branches of MediaMarkt and Saturn from Monday, November 14th. It’s best to stop by the nearest MMS branch around the corner in the morning at the start of the new week and ask if they’re taking part in the campaign.
Because according to numerous reports, MMS is currently running a new pre-order campaign in many (but not all) markets – with the FIFA 23 bundle (incl. PS5 with drive) and the extra game God of War Ragnarök for €699.99 in total. In some branches there is an additional guarantee for €89.99.
In some markets it was already possible to pre-order the specially created bundle on Saturday. Other MMS branches now want to follow suit in the new week that has just begun (from Monday). A deposit of €100 is due on site. The delivery should apparently take place in calendar week 47 (i.e. between November 21st and 26th). You will then be notified by email or phone as soon as you can pick up the PS5.
