LoL: Riot bans its own key employee for trying the worst champion 20 times in a row

Each year, the preseason is an opportunity for League of Legends players to try new things and test out other champions or builds. But despite the turbulent times, the system against misconduct in the game does not rest. Riot employee “Phlox” was banned for 14 days for playing the champion Ryze: Phlox is responsible for balancing.

What happened?

• Riot Games employee “Phlox” works as a designer on the Summoner’s Rift team. There he is responsible, among other things, for adapting the champions and, for example, strengthening weak characters.
• The last patch brought the preseason to the live servers.

For the preseason, Phlox had decided to try and train a new champion. He had chosen Ryze. The Magician was played again and again by the legendary Faker.

However, as with Faker, the champion didn’t work as well when Phlox plays him. Despite playing only Ryze for 20 games in a row, he couldn’t perform well. After ending some of his games with 0/7 or 0/10 stats, Phlox was reported by fellow players.

The system determined that not only was he on a losing streak, but apparently he was trolling on purpose and banned him for 14 days.

How is his LoL account doing now? Phlox is not just any employee at Riot, but responsible for the adjustments and patch notes. However, despite its relevance to the constant updating of the game, it cannot access its account through a side door.

Because his account has been banned from the system, he also has to open a ticket and write to Riot Games support. They then got his ticket and, due to the precarious situation, decided to activate his account again.

After only 48 hours he got his account, again the Spanish site MGG reported.

Phlox got his Platinum 2 account back and can continue to work on his Ryze gameplay. However, he has since improved his skills on the Champion Ryze and only has occasional slips where he can’t show off his skills.

What is LoL’s reporting system all about? Some players are provoking the League of Legends automatic ban system. The streamer “LionL9” was banned a total of 708 times. But luckily for all players, Riot Games has put this on the list and are constantly working to improve the system.

After you had a fellow player in your game who didn’t just have a bad game, you can report them. This system is regularly revised by Riot Games. They recently added that players will be banned in-game for behaving outside of Riot Games’ guidelines.
