Crocodiles at Joris – Participant must build a fortress to defend against
A participant of 7 vs. Wild apparently shares his camp with a crocodile. The sighting causes a lot of discomfort for the wild card winner Joris.
Panama – Wild card winner Joris becomes the first contestant to see a live predator in 7 vs. Wild. Apparently, not far from his camp, a crocodile is doing his rounds in the sea and this circumstance is really affecting the participant of Fritz Meinecke’s YouTube show. Completely distraught, he films the crocodile just a few meters away and immediately begins planning security measures for a possible attack by the armored reptile.

7 vs. Wild: Crocodile at camp causes Joris to panic – “I’m at 180”
That happened: During the preparations for 7 vs. Wild, crocodiles were sighted at Otto’s spot, but it was another participant who made the first acquaintance with the clock reptiles. Joris suspects nothing bad when he looks after what he thinks is driftwood, but a short time later he has to realize with horror that the piece of wood in the sea is actually one of the dreaded animals. “There was definitely a crocodile there”.
The botany expert even manages to get the crocodile in front of the lens of his GoPro. “It’s 100 percent a crocodile. You see the snout, you see the eyes”. It is also frightening how close the crocodile makes its patrol. “That’s 12 meters from the waterline”. With only flip-flops on his feet, Joris dares to get closer and closer to the reptile in order to capture the frightening scenes for the viewers.
His spot also seems to offer everything a crocodile’s heart desires, after all there is food, fresh water and plenty of space for sunbathing on Joris’ beach section. “It’s also the ideal habitat for a crocodile”. No wonder, then, that the wildcard winner is slowly losing his composure. “I’m at 180 right now”. However, the botany expert cannot make out what kind of crocodile it is, here the professional opinion of a biologist is probably needed again. 7 vs. Wild: Joris braces himself for a crocodile attack – fishing net is supposed to save him
His concern: Of course, Joris paints horror scenarios in his head and his biggest concern is becoming the crocodile’s snack. “It could theoretically eat me out of the hammock here”. In order not to end up on the reptile’s menu, Joris has thought of something, because another layer of fishing net is supposed to protect him in his hammock from a possible crocodile bite.
“The fishing net would get caught in its mouth and the animal would let go immediately. Insofar as it doesn’t hit my head, I think I have a solid chance of survival.”. However, it remains questionable whether a fishing net can actually withstand a crocodile’s. However, Joris survived the second night on the island unscathed, we may see how things will continue for the candidates and his uninvited visit in episode 7 of 7 vs. Wild.
