The future of Marvel’s Avengers looks “bleak” due to a lack of budget according to reports

Square Enix Has Lost Around $200 Million On Marvel's Avengers And Guardians Of The Galaxy, GamersRD

The future of Marvel’s Avengers looks “bleak,” according to a prominent member and leaker in the gaming community named Miller.

His leaks about DLC, updates, and in-game skins have earned him a huge following and his stories have been cited by IGN, Eurogamer, and Forbes. In a podcast, Miller not only shares his doubts about the game’s survival for the next two years, but believes that the long-rumored She-Hulk hasn’t been forgotten and will eventually make its way to Marvel’s Avengers.

In a lengthy discussion on The Lunch Table Podcast, Miller gives a sobering answer to a question about whether Marvel’s Avengers will see an influx of new players:

I have to tell you, I’m not sure we ever will… There’s not much I can say, I’ve had conversations over the past few weeks that paint a pretty bleak picture of the future…

I was on record a few months ago saying I don’t think we’ll make it to the 4.0 series of updates. I really don’t see it. I mean, that’s over a year away. We still have the entire series of 3.0 updates to go through.

As for She-Hulk, Miller says that she was meant to be released after Black Panther in the War for Wakanda update in August 2021. Voice actress Krizia Bajos had apparently already recorded several voice lines for the character, but possibly due to personnel changes.

It was likely delayed in favor of an improved multiplayer experience and the release of Jane Foster. He believes that once the Embracer Group can give the team both the budget and manpower needed for what Miller calls an entirely original character like She-Hulk, she’ll finally be able to join the roster.
