An MMORPG suddenly disappears from Steam – leaving players confused

Ein MMORPG verschwindet plötzlich von Steam – Lässt Spieler verwirrt zurück

The anime MMORPG Aura Kingdom was previously playable via its own client and on Steam. But suddenly it is no longer available there – without a word from the publisher.

The Aura Kingdom Steam page can no longer be found. If you are looking for it, you will only find the successor Aura Kingdom 2.

The MMORPG is still playable in the publisher Aeria Games’ own client (which is now part of Gamigo) and the website continues to publish regular news about the game. Not a word is mentioned about the now missing Steam page.

Publishers may have taken it offline due to shop issues

The user theStroh reddit quotes the code from SteamDB and says he can see that the publishers have taken the game from Steam and that Steam itself is not responsible for it:

It is no longer on Steam because the publisher decided to delete it – Added app_retired_publisher_request – 1 and Added app_retired_was_free – 1.

His comment gets some upvotes.

“At least we know that Steam didn’t delete the game itself for any reason,” AkreonDorplasy replies. Steam itself is probably not responsible for the deletion of Aura Kingdom, but Gamigo itself. But the reason for this can only be speculated.

The moderators of the Aura Kingdom Discord server have repeatedly posted in the past few months that there are problems with payment in the cash shop.

Already in June, the moderator Lottus wrote: “We know that payment with Steam credit and Razor Gold is currently not working. It was reported and our team is working on it.” Similar messages followed, the last one came from moderator Lali at the end of October: “The Steam version for AP purchases is not working right now. We recommend you buy them directly from the website.”

Is Aura Kingdom Coming Back On Steam? A few days ago, another moderator of the Discord wrote that they also don’t know why Aura Kingdom is no longer on Steam. “The team is working on bringing it back to Steam,” he assures. Whether that’s really true, or whether it will continue to stay away from Steam is unclear.

What do you think about the fact that Aura Kingdom is now gone from Steam? Do you think it was actually because of the problems in the real money shop? Have you played the MMORPG or are you still actively playing it? Write it to us in the comments here on MeinMMO!
