Böhmermann takes Rainer Winkler’s side. He says the haters in the Dragon Game were just a test designed to “disintegrate” our democracy.

Hambrug – Jan Böhmermann and Olli Schulz talk about YouTuber Rainer Winkler, the dragon lord, in the “Fest & Flauschig” podcast. The satirist suspects that the dragon game is training for a cyber attack that is dangerous to the state, against which hopelessly outdated protective mechanisms with their “game boys‘ are completely defenseless.

Böhmermann speculates: Did cyber-terrorists practice “undermining democracies” on the dragon lord?

Jan Böhmermann talks about dragon games: Jan Böhmermann and Olli Schulz regularly reflect on God and the world in their podcast “Fest & Fauschig”. The episode “Elderly Evening” from November 26, 2022 is (of course) about the explosive World Cup in Qatar, but then the cheerful satirist gets very serious. Because it’s about Rainer Winkler and the worldwide unique negative phenomenon “dragon game”.

In the podcast, the two talk about the incomparable cyberbullying attack, which Rainer Winkler has been at the center of for years. As early as 2019, they strongly condemned the dragon game – Olli Schulz reveals that he was bombarded with hate messages from haters. Böhmermann came up with the topic through Schulz, who was listening to the first episodes of the project “Who’s Afraid of the Dragon Lord?”

Dragon game as a training camp for worse: Jan Böhmermann then puts forward the bold thesis that the dragon game was just a warm-up phase in order to later attack Germany. Words like “to undermine democracy“, “to confuse the federal government’ and the great usurper Putin is also associated with haters and dragon lords.

According to Böhmermann’s assumptions, all the years of hunting the dragon lord should have primarily served the purpose of developing – or testing – a new cyber weapon. Namely networking in social media in order to specifically attack weak points against which the state cannot defend itself.

Rainer Winkler is only the first training victim of cyber terrorists, says Jan Böhmermann

What does Böhmermann mean by that? OK, step back. Böhmermann speculates here that some ominous power is behind the haters. Hater (English for haters), that’s what the participants who are after Rainer Winkler, the dragon lord, are called.

  • According to Böhmermann, the example of the dragon lord showed how defenseless Germany was against this new type of cyberterror.
  • The judiciary has no laws adapted to the new crimes. So the perplexed courts cracked Rainer Winkler just to do something.
  • The police are also completely overwhelmed by the fact that every day a wide variety of haters harass the once tranquil village where Rainer Winkler comes from. Drachenlord: Altschauerberg celebrates the village festival because of the YouTuber’s move
  • Böhmermann sees state protection as particularly vulnerable, i.e. the weakest point. According to the satirist, these are old grandpas who still “work with game boy“ and are therefore defenseless against cyber attacks from outside and inside. The dragon game has shown that no protective mechanism works against networked attackers.
  • Of course, all of this is just speculation on the part of Jan Böhmermann. However, he says that all episodes of “Who’s Afraid of the Dragon Lord?” have already been sent to him and that he will deal with them more closely soon.

Using the example of the dragon game, Böhmermann depicts a German state apparatus that is not at all ready to face the digital dangers of modern times. If you want to listen to Böhmermann’s steep theses on haters and Rainer Winkler yourself, you can Listen to the podcast “Fest & Fluffy” on Spotify here. It starts with the dragon lord at minute 14:30 – the tricky scenario with the training to destroy the Federal Republic starts at minute 17:40.

As a satirist, Jan Böhmermann goes where it hurts. German stars like Trymacs and MontanaBlack also got their fat off: ZDF moderator denounces rip-off by streamers. But international politicians like Turkish President Erdoğan are also afraid of Böhmermann’s sharp tongue.
