The Lost Pokemon: 25 monsters are still trapped in Home with Crimson

Thanks to Pokemon Home Trainers worldwide can trade their collected pocket monsters back and forth between the different switch titles. The Pokémon Storage is even compatible with some older editions and lets us store Pokémon that are not yet in the new games.

So there are some Pokémon that, according to dataminers, do not appear in the source code of the Switch games and therefore cannot be transferred to one of the newer titles. So far, Pokémon Home has housed some inmates who were previously trapped in the gigantic storage box.

Pokémon Crimson & Crimson expands the list of Pokémon that will soon be able to be transferred from Pokémon Home to current Switch games. In addition to the 107 new Pokémon, there are also pocket monsters from previous generations that appear in the game.

But according to dataminers, there are still 25 Pokémon trapped in the storage box. Reddit user sniperviper567 has compiled a list of pocket monsters that haven’t yet appeared in any Switch source code.

The following Pokémon still cannot be transferred from Pokémon Home to the Switch titles:

  • serp ivy
  • Efoserp
  • Serpiroyal
  • Floink
  • piglet
  • Flambirex
  • Vegimak
  • Vegichita
  • grill mak
  • BBQ chita
  • sodamak
  • Sodachita
  • Elezeba
  • Zebritz
  • Strawickl
  • folicon
  • Matrifol
  • Piccolente
  • Swanoress
  • weather
  • Peppeck

All Pokemon not yet appearing on Switch belong to the 5th, 6th or 7th generation. As the only Generation 5 Starter Pokémon, Ottaro appears in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. With a Pokemon Black & White remake, that would drop to just five Pokemon that need to stay in Pokemon Home.

The hope: The development team may release more Crimson & Crimson DLCs that will increase the number of Pokémon available. This means that even more pocket monsters could be “liberated” from Pokémon Home.
