WoW Dungeon Guide: Halls of Infusion – that’s what awaits you

WoW Dragonflight: Alexstrasza

In the dungeon Halls of Infusion in WoW: Dragon Flight, which you can enter from level 70, you will occasionally find yourself in front of locked doors that may only be opened once you have defeated the trash mobs in front of them. If you open the doors too early, the door mechanism will immediately send you to the spirit healer. It’s usually small groups of frogs that have to be defeated first and keep falling from the ceiling. The rest of the dungeon revolves around frogs, water and secret mechanisms.

Tanks turn the Warden away from the group as he hits all players in front of him with TITANA FIST and briefly knocks down targets. Healers watch out for players with ENERGY OVERLOAD. A total of three players are inflicted with this debuff, which deals damage every second for six seconds and leaves an ENERGY FIELD on expiration or removal (magic) that deals damage nearby. Damage dealers stand behind the boss and always immediately interrupt the channeled attack STATIC SURGE.

Zone: Thaldraszus

Coordinates: 59/61

Access from: level 70

Bosses: Guardian Irideus, Snaring Goliath, Khajin the Unyielding, Primordial TsunamiOnce Irideus reaches 15 percent health, he becomes immune and you must disable a shield. You can do this by dragging the balls that appear to the boss and destroying them. When the adds die, move away from the blast’s area of effect or you’ll take damage and be silenced. If you don’t manage to detonate the adds on the boss fast enough, Irideus will receive a stacking buff, which will allow him to deal up to 40 percent more damage for the rest of the fight. In Mythic mode, each successful explosion on the shield also deals AoE damage in a four-meter radius, so you shouldn’t destroy the orbs too quickly one after the other.

In this fight you absolutely have to run away from the adds that will put the Gulp Poison on you. Ten stacks of the debuff result in instant death. The crux: Whenever the giant frog uses SCHLUCK, a player has to let himself be eaten by the boss, suffers a lot of damage and automatically gets three stacks of SCHLUCSCHLUNKTEIN. If there is no Gulp player nearby, the boss will become enraged and deal 50% more damage in stacks.

Your tactic is to control adds and run away as a pursued player (marked by red eyes over your character) and occasionally have a non-tank player swallowed. Healers especially keep an eye on the devoured players. In addition to this mechanic, you pay attention to the falling boulders and the BELLYCLAPP, in which the Goliath repeatedly jumps to an area and causes area damage in the area of effect.

The most important mechanic in this fight is HAILSTORM. The attack does a lot of damage, but can be prevented by hiding behind one of the ice blocks in the room. So position the boss and you near the large chunks of ice. If a chunk of ice is hit twice, it is destroyed and triggers an AVALANCHE that causes heavy damage in a 12 meter radius.

In addition, you pay attention to the spell ICE AGE SURGE. Khajin puts the water surfaces in ice and you have to switch back and forth between the ice and water surfaces so that the ice doesn’t inflict heavy damage on you. Healers take care to cleanse players affected by FROSTSHOCK. The attack slows players by 50 percent and usually occurs just before HAILSTORM when you have to hide behind the blocks of ice.

In Mythic mode, you can’t just rally to the ice blocks right from the start, as Khajin will also shoot FROST CYCLONE in your direction, which will also damage the ice block.

In the fight you have to watch out for the blue swirls, which are difficult to see on the blue water. INFUSED DROPS will appear from the vortices, which you must not touch or they will do area damage and slow you down.

Tanks are repeatedly knocked off the boss by STORM SURGE and attacked with the channeled attack FOCUSED FLOW. Put yourself on a defensive cooldown if you need to, rush back to the boss quickly, and always make sure there’s no FULFILLED DROP behind you. When no player is on the boss, he casts the deadly DEEP SOG attack.
