Community rails against CoD Warzone 2 update policy – errors last for weeks, XP glitches only for hours
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 players are currently discussing the battle royale update policy on a large scale. Many wonder why annoying bugs stay in the game for weeks, but XP glitches can go away in hours.
The releases of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 were extremely successful for those responsible at Activision Blizzard:
- After the release, CoD MW2 had more players than any other premium CoD before it
- Warzone 2 reached the threshold of 25 million players after 5 days
From a player’s point of view, however, one cannot necessarily speak of a smooth process. Missing features for the release of CoD MW2 and problems with a “dev error” in Warzone 2 caused a lot of criticism.
An XP glitch now broke the camel’s back for some players. While matches keep crashing in Warzone 2, a glitch will go away in just a few hours.
CoD Warzone 2: Lack of communication leads to frustration
What is the problem? Warzone 2 is plagued by dev errors. Matches crash and kick players out with no chance to get back in the game to their team.
While in Warzone 1 it was annoying to just be thrown out of the match, in Warzone 2 this goes even further.
There is now a nuke kill streak – this can be used to bomb the entire map. However, a winstreak is required beforehand, players must win several matches in a row.
But if you’re out of the match while the team is chasing the nuke, you’re out. The efforts were in vain. That’s what happened to “Nadeshot”, former CoD professional and founder of the e-sports organization “100 Thieves”. It gets a little salty:

Criticism is now at its peak as other bugs that favor players are rapidly disappearing from the game. It’s about a violent XP glitch in DMZ mode. This has been criticized before and served extensively with memes:
While the developers have been explaining more and more often in recent years what the thoughts behind their changes are, the willingness to communicate has decreased noticeably after the release of CoD MW2 and Warzone 2.
The players also show understanding that such glitches quickly disappear from the game. But the other issues are rarely addressed, if at all. This is currently leading to a lot of frustration … and memes.
Warzone 2 and CoD MW2 had a successful release and are working on their bugs. However, the current technical problems and the lack of information about progress are causing displeasure in the community.
