WoW: Death Knights in Dragonflight – Level guide at level 70
With WoW: Dragonflight, Blizzard takes us on a new adventure! In this issue we give you tips for the new level phase from level 60 to 70. We also tell you how you can get through the new areas on the Dragon Islands with your death knight as quickly and stress-free as possible.
The Unholy playstyle is the best choice if you want to quickly max out Dragonflight. Thanks to numerous DoTs like Virulent plague and Festering wound and the undead companions such as the obligatory ghoul and many other servants, you can single-handedly kill even stubborn elite opponents in a flash. As a master of death, you also have several helpful spells such as anti-magic field (optional!) and raise allieswhich benefit your party in dungeons.

Generic Talent Tree: For the level phase in Dragonflight, you should focus on talents that increase your area damage, strengthen your defenses, and provide massive resources that greatly accelerate the pace of combat and your gameplay. The key talents are in the left branch of the death knight generic talent tree ice chains, mind freeze and Icy Resilience. The CC spells are especially helpful in questing and Icy resistance protects you from physical attacks and makes you immune to stun effects. Then you join the middle branch deathblow and Antimagic Shell further. Heal yourself as often as possible deathblow! Thanks to Dark Aid could you deathblow even work regularly for free. On Antimagic Shell there is no way around it. In combat, you can use the shell as both an offensive and defensive spell. Protect yourself mainly in dungeons as often as possible Antimagic Shellto stock up on some runic power.
In the second half there are a lot of filler talents that give you various passive bonuses. In the middle, two useful talents are waiting for you, which will make your life in Dragonflight much easier. suffocate is a good choice for shortening fights against casters in quests and instances. ghost walk increases your mobility.
In the lower third you work your way up to the particularly strong talents. With Enhance rune weapon you get a powerful cooldown that gives you valuable rune resources at the push of a button. Monstrous limb is also a good choice. The limb pulls your enemies into melee range, hits them, and grants you the effect Runic Corruption, which boosts your rune regeneration rate in battle. Just use the spell on cooldown and as a gap filler.
Unholy Talent Tree: Undead minions are your trump card! Therefore, spend your points first and foremost on talents that strengthen your ghoul. Talents are a mandatory choice raising of the dead, Dark Transformation, Apocalypse, Magus of the Dead and the Unheilig classic Army of the Dead. Another undead minion (thanks Magus of the Dead), which attacks your opponents from afar, deals extra damage without you having to specifically command it. Then choose Infected Claws and Unholy Pactboth talents increase your AoE burst damage.
In the left branch of the tree, select talents that increase your diseases and their area damage. are your favorites outbreak, Unholy Blight and epidemic. Be sure to give your last talent point to super virus out. This passive talent expands your plague arsenal blood plague and frost fever and amplifies their effects by a whopping 80 percent. Top!

The Unholy Death Knight’s rotation revolves around making the most of your runes and runic power resources. The following skill sequence makes up the core of the Unheilig style of play.
When leveling, you always have to consider whether you are fighting an opponent or a group of enemies. In the fight against multiple targets slips death and decay up in the priority list. Just make sure that you are always in the effect range of death and decay stands. Also, when fighting multiple opponents, always remember to join in Unholy Blight attack to have multiple targets at the same time Virulent plague to infect. In the Unholy Death Knight’s spellbook, you’ll find cooldowns that temporarily increase your damage or protect you from incoming damage from your enemies.
- Army of the Dead is one of your strongest damage cooldowns, which is mainly useful in dungeons. Summons the army of bosses a few seconds before the fight starts.
- Icy resistance you use it when you expect strong physical attacks and your life points are falling dangerously. You can also use counters to protect yourself from being stunned.
- light knight: Activate this spell to increase your Life Steal and protect against Charm, Fear, and Sleep effects. You can also join death mantle heal yourself while light knight is active!
- Enhance rune weapon you should use it as often as possible so that you don’t waste rune resources.
- With Antimagic Shell you fend off magical attacks and debuffs from your enemies, and generate runic power along the way.
- Unstoppable Death use it to temporarily increase movement speed.
- deathblow is your absolute emergency magic! Only use this ability if you have no other way to heal yourself.
The simple Frost gameplay is a good start for gamers. You can again choose between a two-handed weapon or two one-handed weapons. We recommend the two-handed weapon because it makes it easier to switch between roles and playstyles in an emergency.

The following skill sequence makes up the core of Frost’s playstyle against both single and multiple targets.
Activates the DpS cooldown Pillar of Frost preferably on cooldown. Make sure you Fury of the Frostwyrm only unleashed when the pillar wears off. When runes and runic power are exhausted, you set their cooldown as well Enhance rune weapon back immediately.

You have two special cooldowns that temporarily increase damage.

Your cooldowns reduce damage taken or increase your self-healing.
- Dark Command: With this spell you draw the opponent’s attention to you.
- death grip / Gorefiend’s Grip / Monstrous limb: Both the handles and the limbs are there to pull a specific target or multiple targets towards you or to a specific position at once. death grip also generates threat and can serve you well in dungeons as a secondary taunt.
- vampire blood you not only increase the external healing, but also your self-healing.
- Dancing rune weapon increases your parry chance, boosts your damage, and helps you build threat. Summon the rune weapon when a particularly powerful flurry of physical blows awaits you.
- Icy resistance you use it when you expect strong physical attacks and your life points are falling dangerously. On top of that, you can immediately free yourself from stuns with the resistance.
