With WoW: Dragonflight, a new age not only dawns for the dragon aspects, but also for our heroes. But before we can jump into the endgame of the new WoW expansion Dragonflight alongside the other classes, we first have to bring our demon hunters from level 60 to the new maximum level of 70. In this short guide, we’ll tell you which specialization, way of playing and talent composition makes leveling up the demon hunter on the Dragon Islands particularly smooth.

Devastation or vengeance?

Let’s clear up the most important question right at the beginning: Does Havoc or Vengeance level best at level 70? If you want to master the quests in the new zones as quickly as possible, choose the DpS specialization. Devastation has the higher mobility and with the right talents can also melt large groups of enemies out of life in seconds.

We only had our problems with the elite opponents of the various 3-player tasks. The damage specialist has few defenses, while his self-healing is not strong enough to withstand the blows of an elite monster for an extended period of time. Of course, in such a case you could look for companions for the task, the associated quest is not a group challenge for nothing.

Or you switch to vengefulness. In the tank role, you cause significantly less damage than offensive demon hunters, but your survivability is high enough to easily handle such tricky tasks on your own. Another plus that speaks for revenge: Tanks usually only have to wait a short time for an invitation to a dungeon.

The great strength of your demon hunter is with Throw Glaive such as devil rush draw a group of enemies to your attention, pull them together, and then bomb out of life on the spot. However, this only works really well with the right choice of talent.

The choice of talent

Generic Talent Tree: For the level phase in Dragonflight, you focus on talents that increase your area damage, strengthen your defenses and give you valuable resources. To begin, choose from the left branch of the Demon Hunter generic talent tree Blazing Path and Unbridled anger. Keep in mind that CC spells are especially useful when questing. Give your points for incarceration, Improved interrupt, Disruptive Anger and Leaping Glaives out. Underestimated your ranged attack when questing Throw Glaive Not! It helps you collect mobs. consume magic is a true CC classic that mainly serves you well in dungeons. Be sure to complement this spell Anger suppressed (creates Fury when you remove a magic effect from the target). persecution and devil blade hit in the same vein as Blazing Pathboth talents increase your mobility.

In the second half of the talent tree, focus on the left and middle branches. Chooses intoxication of chaos (decreases the cooldown of metamorphosis) and complements it with soul ripper, which provides some passive healing. The talents are waiting on the left glaive master, Felfire Speed and chaos nova (preferably with Unleashed Power). Demonic is a mandatory choice, after all you place in combat eye beam as often as possible. Choose at the end Knowledge of the Illidari. The Filler Talent reduces the magic damage you take.

In the lower third you work your way up to the particularly strong talents. These include Darkness, The hunt and collective torment. With Darkness you get a powerful defensive cooldown that protects you and your fellow players from massive damage.

Desolation Talent Tree: Spend your points in the Ravager tree for the talents Improved Chaos Strike, Demonic appetite and Critical Chaos out. The talent trio increases the damage of Chaos Strike and gives you a lot of irascibility. Definitely take in the middle branch demon blades and First bloodshed With. demon blades simplify your rotation while First bloodshed increases your burst area damage.

In the second third of the talent tree, you also prefer passive talents for the level phase. You should definitely have a talent point for initiative spend. It doesn’t matter whether you’re fighting a target or multiple enemies at once – this talent ensures a good burst of damage in every battle. Thanks to Vengeful retreat you can trigger Initiative’s passive effect even more often. Unleashed Chaos is also interesting for quests. The talent drops the damage devil rush literally explode when its using firebrand aura rushing through the ranks of your enemies. Then select the talents Chaotic transformation, Looks can kill and Blind irascibility. All three increase your area damage. The talents trail of ruin, Growing Inferno and Burning wound hit the same note.

You spend your last talent points in the lower third of the talent tree Essence Break, Accelerated Blade, Angry Flames, soul shredder and By any means out. These talents ensure that your enemies’ health points melt away.

The gameplay

On the beta server, most of the battles with our demon hunter went like this: With Throw Glaive and devil rush draw about five opponents together, then take them with you chaos nova stun in one spot, via firebrand aura deal the first damage and build up some irascibility and then on demon bite (only if you demon blades did not choose) plus a subsequent one blade dance follow. Also participate in quests as often as possible sign of the flame, Essence Break and the hunt on.

In the further process burns eye beam Enemy life points are close to zero. Finally, as a demon, you return with us destruction such as death sweeper the leftovers together. Chaos Strike as well as others demon bite -Attacks are only used if the skills just mentioned are not available and you want to build up or reduce irascibility. Then jump with me devil blade just move on to the next mob!

In the heat of the moment, don’t forget to bring dangerous spells with you Interrupt to stop and using buffs of the enemy consume magic to clean. blur such as Darkness protect you in critical situations. Your metamorphosis can also save your virtual butt with the increased lifesteal, but it is also a great way to deal more damage for a few seconds. If your life falls into the basement, keep an eye out for soul fragments!

In our vengeance test rounds in the open world and in the dungeons, one style of play and talent specialization quickly stood out – similar to Devastation.
