Version 16 of Apple’s mobile operating system was launched in mid-September. A good month later, iOS 16.1 followed to optimize charging behavior and battery display. Now there is another update.

Bonn – Apple has released an update for iOS 16. The update, which brings the iPhone operating system to version 16.1.2, is intended to bring improved compatibility with mobile network operators, as the manufacturer reports. But it should also improve accident detection on all iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models.

Apple’s smartphones in this series can use sensors to detect serious car accidents and support the driver with emergency calls or make them automatically. Detection is enabled by default.

The support information for the update to iOS 16.1.2 also mentions “important security updates”. However, Apple does not give any details about possible vulnerabilities that this update fixes.

The iOS update is available for all iPhones from the 8th generation. Anyone who has not yet been offered it can connect the iPhone to the charger, activate the WLAN, go to “Settings/General/Software update” and then tap on “Load and install”. . dpa
