Nintendo has had the biggest hit of the year with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, selling a whopping 10 million units worldwide in three days on Nintendo Switch. However, the 9th generation has started with its fair share of problems, from poor graphics performance to crashes. A new version 1.1.0 update is released today and kicks off season 1 of Ranked Battles, but Nintendo of America also apologized for performance issues encountered by players.

“We are aware that gamers may encounter issues that affect game performance. Our goal is always to give players a positive experience with our games, and we apologize for any inconvenience. We take player feedback seriously and are working on game improvements.”

Along with Season 1 of Ranked Battles, available in the Battle Stadium, an issue that caused the music to not play correctly when fighting the Elite Four and Top Champion has also been fixed. Other “select” bug fixes have also been made.

There is currently no time frame for performance improvements, so we’ll have to wait for more details. You can read our Scarlet and Violet reviews in their respective links.
