Pokémon Crimson and Crimson: Nintendo apologizes “for the inconvenience”

Pokemon Crimson Crimson

The Nintendo Switch games Pokémon Crimson and Crimson have been released in an absolutely chaotic state. Countless players were disappointed when the title was launched. Among other things, she made Framerate issues, but also lots of pop-ins, clipping and other bugs. So many even tried get their money back.

Nintendo has held back on this matter to the last and has not officially acknowledged the problems. Surprisingly, in a new patch, which “Selected Fixes” offers, finally clear that the company at least aware of the problem is.

Patch 1.1.0 for Pokémon Crimson and Crimson

Nintendo made the yesterday Version 1.1.0 for “Karmesin und Purpur”, which is sure to please most players, not just the Introducing Season 1 of Ranked Battles means, but also entails the correction of some bugs.

Still, it’s annoying that the company doesn’t openly name these fixes, except for one, in the patch notes. The customers are left in the dark about exactly what has been improved and what is still defective. The only fix mentioned couldn’t be more trivial:

“Fixed an issue that caused the music to not play correctly during the Elite Four and Top Champion battles on the Victory Path.”

Beyond that, it simply states that “other selected bug fixes have been made.” Considering the patch is only 1GB, it can’t be a huge number of improvements.

However, there is a paragraph at the end of the so-called “patch notes” where Nintendo finally acknowledges that the state of the game is not okay:

“We are aware that players may encounter issues that affect the performance of the game. Our goal is always to ensure players have a positive experience with our games and we apologize for the inconvenience. We take player feedback seriously and are working to improve the games.”

Of course, this is still very vaguely worded, at least it is an admission that “Pokémon Crimson and Crimson” really needs a fix. It remains to be seen whether the frame rate drops, clipping and the problems with the pop-ins have already been improved.
