Borderlands 3 would come to Nintendo Switch according to PEGI classification

Borderlands 3 Offers Players A Shift Code To Get A Diamond Key, GamersRD

The crazy Looter-Shooter series borderlands has been slowly and steadily expanding its presence in nintendoswitch throughout the years. We’re at a point where almost every Borderlands game can be played on the platform, except of course for some of the more recent releases in the series, including borderlands 3 of 2019. Interestingly though, that could change soon.

As discovered by Gematsu, Borderlands 3 has been classified for Nintendo Switch by the European rating board Pan European Game Information (PEGI). The PEGI rating implies ratings for Borderlands 3: Director’s Cut, as well as for all the DLC it includes, which suggests an announcement could be made soon. There is also mention of a placeholder release date of December 1st for the Switch version of the game, but this is more of a reference.

Interestingly, this is not the first time this has happened. Borderlands 3: Director’s Cut it was rated for the Switch in April 2021, though shortly after, publisher 2K confirmed the rating was an error on PEGI’s part, meaning there’s no certainty that won’t be the case this time around. Stay tuned for more updates on this front.

Borderlands 3 is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. 2K recently announced that the game has shipped over 16 million units worldwide.
