Cyberpunk 2077: Game of the Year Edition will be released in 2023

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Rumor: Customizable Kill Cams Coming Soon

A Game of the Year Edition for the action role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 will be released next year.

As CD Projekt CEO Adam Kicinski announced during a recent investor meeting in Warsaw, they plan to release a Cyberpunk 2077 Game of the Year Edition in 2023:

“It’s the natural way of things – it was the same with The Witcher, which ended up being released as Game of the Year Edition after the two expansions and has been out there ever since. The same can be expected in this case as well.”

Before that, however, the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion and another substantial update for the action role-playing game are still pending.

As with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt mentioned by Kicinski, the Cyberpunk 2077 Game of the Year Edition will be released as a full-price title and will presumably include all additional content.

At the same time, the publication is intended to herald the final phase of the role-playing game and the progressive transition to the development of the successor currently known under the project name Project Orion.
