Destiny 2: Season of the Seraph launches today with Assassin's Creed Crossover

The last season before the next expansion for Destiny 2 is upon us. Bungie announced the Season of the Seraph, which marks the transition to Destiny 2: Lightfall.

The focus of the new season is once again the AI Rasputin, who recently suffered a severe setback in the fight against darkness. Xivu Arath, the Hive Goddess of War, sees this as her chance to take over the AI’s weapon satellites and wreak havoc with them. Of course, your job is to prevent that from happening.

Destiny 2: The Season of Seraph introduced

As with previous Seasons, the new Season of Seraph consists of a new matchmaking activity. In the robbery battlefields you have to infiltrate various BrayTech facilities and, of course, eliminate countless enemies in the process.

Aside from that, the new exotic mission Operation: Seraph’s Shield awaits you, in which you break into the BrayTech orbital platform located above the Last City. Also as in previous seasons, the story in the mission continues week after week and is not fully available from the beginning.

Finally, from December 20th, the release of the new exotic weapon Revision Zero will follow. This is also only available in its basic version at the time of release, but is to be given a catalyst in the following weeks of the current season.

In addition to the playful content, there is of course also a season pass with 100 levels during the Season of Seraph. Among other things, this grants you access to the exotic weapon manticore and various cosmetic items.

Partnership with Assassin’s Creed

After last season’s collaboration with Fortnite, this time it’s a collaboration with Ubisoft and Assassin’s Creed. That’s why, with the start of the Season of Seraph, there’s a cosmetic armor set for each class reminiscent of three Assassin’s Creed games: Hunters can dress up in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey style, while Titans in Valhalla and Warlocks in Ezio style the enter battlefields.

Additionally, the seasonal event The Dawning will return at Christmas time, while next year’s Moments of Triumph are just around the corner. It then continues on February 28, 2023, the release date of the next expansion Lightfall for Destiny 2.
