Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph: Release time, dungeon, and everything we know about Season 19 Dexerto

The Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph release date is here. Here’s everything we know, including the Destiny 2 Season 19 release time.

Destiny 2’s Witch Queen expansion kicked off another year of content, and while players loved the new subclass abilities, Season of Plunder has begun to see a decline in player numbers. Thankfully, Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph has made a strong first impression, bringing the Guardians back in touch with Rasputin, the powerful AI Warmind who is sometimes friend and sometimes foe.

There’s a lot of pressure on Bungie to get Destiny 2 Season 19 right, especially since it’s leading up to the next big expansion, Lightfall.

Destiny 2 Crucible Logobungie

As revealed in a blog post. The Crucible, Destiny 2’s PvP hub, is finally getting a major overhaul starting in Season of the Seraph. This is what will happen:

  • A new Crucible Seal, Glorious, will be added.
  • Control and Clash will be moved to a single Quickplay playlist.
  • The weekly rotations will change as many of the modes are less popular than others.

Iron Banner will rotate to a new mode in Destiny 2 Season 19 and offer new rewards. This time around, the mode will be called Stronghold, where players capture and hold zones just like they would in Control. The difference is that there is a Cabal-flavored twist that Bungie is keeping under wraps. Iron Banner will return on January 3, 2023.

Bungie will also continue to refine the Crucible skill-based matchmaking introduced in Season of Plunder, such as confirmed by Bungie.

Economic Changes in Destiny 2 Season 19

A Bungie blog post revealed that, after being a part of the franchise since its inception, fate materials will be removed from Destiny 2.

The article continues after the announcement.

That means the following will no longer be available to obtain starting with Season 19:

  • Twilight Shards
  • microphase data network
  • helium filaments
  • baryon branches
  • metal spinning sheets
  • icy star

Starting in Season 19, Rahool will offer 5,000 Glimmer per stack of 20 target materials, or 250 per individual material.

Rahool will also have new exchange rates for Enhancement Prisms and Ascendant Shards.

To increase the amount of Glimmer you can earn, Public Events will now offer between 3,399 and 3,645 Glimmer to complete, while Heroics will offer 10K to 12.5K.

Players can also expect changes to Devrim and Failsafe on the EDZ and Nessus, respectively.

Crafting Deep Stone Crypts

In a blog post, Bungie confirmed that Season 19 will allow for Deep Stone Crypt weapon crafting. The raid, introduced in Beyond Light, will now have a chance to drop a Deepsight version of one of the weapons with each encounter.

“Each encounter has a chance to drop a Deepsight version of a raid weapon, and players can purchase one per week from the final chest after defeating Taniks,” Bungie said.

“When Deep Stone Crypt is the featured raid of the week, there is no limit to the encounter drops! This means you can run an entire raid and each encounter multiple times looking for Deepsight drops.”

Destiny 2 Seraph Story Season

Bungie’s latest trailer for Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph confirms that Rasputin will be a big focal point of the new season.

In it, a voice says “we must secure the Warsat Network before it is too late. Rebuilding the Warmind is now our top priority.”

Destiny 2 Season 19 Price

Season 19 will continue with the Season Pass model, which means you can buy it for around £10/$12 per season.

If you have Witch Queen’s Deluxe Edition, you’re already covered for Season 19.
