End-time atmosphere in the trailer for “The Last of Us”

The apocalyptic survival saga “The Last of Us” is considered one of the best PlayStation games of all time and has long since achieved classic status. And soon the story about the unlikely duo Joel and Ellie, who fight for survival in a world on the brink, will become a TV series. The US pay channel HBO has released a new trailer for it.

And that should give fans of the video game goosebumps, as it captures the mood of the end times that prevails in the post-apocalyptic world of “The Last of Us”, in which a fungal infection transforms people into soulless mutants only presents the actors in more detail, but also lets “The Last of Us” fans take a first look at the serial implementation of a particularly nasty monster from the game.
