Gwent: The Witcher Card Game: CD Projekt Red discontinues support – what’s next?
CD Projekt Red will stop supporting The Witcher Card Game Gwent in the near future. The developer reveals how the game should continue afterwards.
In the coming year 2023, Gwent will continue to receive new cards and the eSports tournaments will also be held as usual over the next twelve months. After that, however, it’s over: At the beginning of 2024, they want to pursue a community-based claim that runs internally under the name Project Gwentfinity.

Opposite to IGN CD Projekt Red revealed that only a small fraction of developers will keep Gwent alive beyond 2023. The remaining team members should be accommodated in other projects of the developer studio.
