Horizon Forbidden West: The Burning Shores could be announced soon

Horizon Forbidden West Introduces Enhanced Performance Mode, GamersRD

Guerrilla Games could be preparing to show the DLC Horizon Forbidden West, at least so is believed in the latest cryptic tweet from the leaker The Snitch.

The picture drawn on the California map definitely looks like Aloy’s approach. This could be referencing the long-speculated Burning Shores expansion, as you mentioned. Insider Gamingwhich goes a step further and sees the Horizon Forbidden West DLC launching in April 2023.

That would be a little over a year after the main game’s release, which occurred in February 2022. The Burning Shores is mentioned by name a couple of times throughout Horizon Forbidden West. Gildun’s journal mentions that it is south of Spinebreak and Brin mentions it as the “place of flames and brine”.

Players trying to explore further south are currently being told to “back off” as this is likely the new location for the DLC.

Some players got a closer look using their Sunwing, which appears to be a replica of the Arched Memorial Bridge near Las Vegas, Nevada; as well as potentially the Hoover Dam.

Horizon Forbidden West “Burning Shores” could be released in April 2023.
