Overpowered weapon returns in Chapter 4 – guaranteed one-shot kills
Do you have safe aim in Fortnite? Then you can use an OP weapon in Chapter 4 again to dust off reliable kills with just one shot.
Cary, North Carolina – Battles can be fierce at times in Fortnite. But that doesn’t have to be the case. For example, you could choose a weapon that doesn’t even give your opponent a chance to shoot back. In Chapter 4 of the Battle Royale, you can now ensure just that with a real OP weapon that is guaranteed to be deadly with a single headshot. Here we show you which weapon it is and where you can find it in Fortnite.

Fortnite: Chapter 4 Brings Back Gripper Bow – Kills in one hit
This is the weapon: In Chapter 4, Epic Games took a bunch of old guns out of the vault and brought them back to Fortnite. Bows in particular are now very strong again and can become particularly useful in battle thanks to the new reality enhancements in Fortnite. There are different types of bows, but the most powerful of these might be the Grabber Bow, which has seen a decent damage buff since its last appearance in Chapter 2 Season 6.
This is how strong the gripper bow is: This returned OP-Bow has a base damage of a strapping 89 hitpoints in Chapter 4 of Fortnite, but comes with a headshot multiplier of 2.5. That adds up to 222 total damage from a headshot, which is guaranteed to be deadly in a single hit in Battle Royale, even at full health and full shield. This makes the Gripper Bow currently the only weapon that takes less than two shots for a kill.
- Damage: 89
- Fire rate: 1
- Magazine size: 1
- reload time: 1.02
- Price: 500 gold bars
Only in Fortnite’s zero-build mode does the calculation for the gripper bow not quite work out. In the other popular game mode, each player also has a 50-point rechargeable shield. In total, this makes a maximum of 250 hit points, where the gripper arch does not quite reach it. Still, in the right hands, the weapon can do absolutely devastating damage. You just have to be able to find them in-game.
Fortnite: Find Claw Arch – Exact location on Chapter 4 Map
You can find the gripper sheet here: The one-shot arc cannot be found as part of the loot pool on the Fortnite Chapter 4 map, nor is it available as a reality augmentation. Instead, you must visit the NPC Princess Felicity Fish. The Fish Princess can then sell you the Gripper Bow for 500 gold bars. Felicity Fish’s spawn point is on Western Watch, a lookout southwest of the point of interest “The Citadel“.
So if you are sure of your aim, you could start a lot of stress with your opponents with the grapple bow in Fortnite. If you want to try the weapon, though, don’t wait too long – who knows when Epic Games will nerf the overpowered bow.
