PS Plus: December “free” games to download today, date for January games
Sony will release PS Plus “free” games in December 2022. Users with an active Essential subscription can start downloading the new PS5 and PS4 inclusive games today. As usual, Sony has not announced a time for the activation. However, it can be assumed that the full versions will be available in the course of the morning, probably between 10 and 11 a.m, available from PlayStation Store. This time you grab the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, the action role-playing game Biomutant and the jump and run Divine Knockout: Founder’s Edition to.
These three games are included with PS Plus in December
In our review of the Mass Effect Legendary Edition (PS4) you read that a worthy remaster awaits you. The collection, consisting of all three main games and numerous DLCs, offers a well told trilogy, great characters, a great soundtrack and polished gameplay as well as improved graphics. With Biomutant (PS4, PS5) you are again in an open game world that offers a varied enemy design and a successful combat system. There are points deducted for the narrative style, the boring mission design and the weak implementation of the story.
In Divine Knockout (PS4, PS5, releasing direct from PS Plus), attack opponents to knock them out of the arena in a third-person view. There are ten gods to choose from, each with different abilities. “Play the 3v3 arcade mode with friends and explore a variety of game modes, or compete against them in brutal 1v1 and 2v2 duels. DKO offers cross-play and cross-progression,” the developers promise. To get access to the three PS Plus games, you need an Essential subscription to the online service. The price is around 60 euros per year.
Date for the January games
The announcement of the “free” games for PS Plus in January 2023 can be expected on December 28th. On January 3rd, the new inclusive games for PS5 and PS4 should finally be available for download. Until the December games are unlocked, you can still pick up the November titles: Nioh 2 (PS5, PS4), Lego Harry Potter Collection (PS4) and Heavenly Bodies (PS5, PS4).
