Allegedly, the first content of the second season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 has already been leaked. Season 2 is scheduled to start next February and could bring back the Castle map players know from Call of Duty: World at War. In addition, the operator Ronin could be added to the game.

Alleged leaks have recently appeared that are said to already show some details about the second season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. The 2022 version of Modern Warfare 2 was released on October 28th. The first season of the shooter started with the release of Warzone 2 on November 16th. The second season could start in February.

Alleged leak with known map and operator

The website WhatIfGaming reports the alleged artwork from the marketing material, which is supposed to hint at a Japanese theme for Season 2. More pictures should confirm the return of the “Castle” map. The map was originally a multiplayer map in Call of Duty: World at War and took place in an old Japanese fort during World War II. Additionally, “Castle” was also remastered for last year’s Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Another artwork is said to show the operator Ronin, which should be familiar to players from 2019’s Modern Warfare. In the marketing images, the character is seen armed with a katana. The original source of the images is said to have been removed in the meantime due to a copyright notice.

Another, separate leak is said to show the new map “Resurgence” from Warzone 2.0. Just a few days ago, the well-known leaker TheGhostOfHope wanted to know that the Canadian studio Beenox was working with Toys for Bob on a new version of the Resurgence map. According to the alleged leak, the new map, which features a castle in the middle of the map, could also be used for Ground War and DMZ modes.
